The twin suite had just about everything to help make my stay enjoyable, including bar fridge, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, coffee/tea/sugar, crockery, cutlery, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and reverse cycle air conditioning. The shower was hot, the bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi mostly functioned and was fast enough for work purposes (I didn't try streaming video). Location is at the city end of Lygon Street so the CBD is just over a 1 km walk (10 to 15 minutes). Staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money for a long weekend in Melbourne. I would definitely stay here again.

The executive Queen room was convenient given I could do some cooking when I wanted. I also liked the fact that they have a smart TV which made programs so easy given I had a 5 yr old child who watched any children program happily. They also gifted me a late check out (12 noon) for some little inconvenience at check in (was allocated an occupied room & opened the door to the surprise of a guest already living there).

Excellent value for money! We paid around $500 for 3 nights for our family of 4. There were 2 large beds, modern bathroom and a basic kitchen. The room was spacious and reasonably quiet. You had noise from the hallway but neighbours seemed considerate and you couldn't hear between walls. Great location. Lots of delicious food nearby and we walked into the city each day.

The minute reception area is staffed by very friendly students. There is a lift. The room was quite spacious and even had a kitchenette and balcony though no view. Bed was comfortable and shower was good. It was very clean. My room had safety rails in the bathroom, which were welcome. Lygon St is a fantastic location, just one block from the tram, with heaps of restaurants, and the Lodge is opposite an attractive green square.

The staff that were on at the time were very helpful and accommodated us at an earlier time due to having surgery the same day. They called as soon as the room was ready. All prior contact with me was great 👍 . Parking was arranged and we parked before actual check in time , we arrived at 10am so that was a bonus saving us the hassle of getting a park nearby. Parking was a little extra cost very secure safe car park underneath parking spots are a little tight however for what we got and required just perfect for us. Will definitely be staying again for long weekend breaks 👍🙂

Good value for money, in excellent location for fabulous Lygon St. Good size rooms, lovely new bathrooms and quiet if you have room back from Lygon street. FoH staff were excellent, so friendly, helpful and happy to assist with every request. Close to transport, restaurants and cafes. 24 hour reception is fantastic. Would return again.

If you like Italian cuisine, then definitely consider this place! It's located on Lygon Str. which is full of authentic Italian restaurants. It's somewhat half way between CBD (30 mins walk to Flinders Station) and the Zoo (45 mins walk), very convenient if you like walking. The place itself is a bit old, but the staff does a pretty good job in maintaining everything, so no complains. The reception is open 24/7, so there is always someone if you need help. My room was facing the back of the street, so it wasn't noisy at all.

Besides the staff being quite rude everything else was great. My friend has epilepsy and the first night he was making these noises he sometime does out on the balcony. Someone complained so the staff member came to the room and was really rude threatening to kick us out. After that they were all rude and didn't respond when id say good morning or night. But like I said great place other than that.
